Chairman’s Message

Ir TSE Lok-him, Chairman of HKIE Electronics Division 2023/2024 Session

It is my great honor and privilege that I assume the Chairman of the Electronics Division Session 2023/2024. Firstly, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to our Past Chairmen for their dedicated services and outstanding contributions to our division. Their leadership have set a solid foundation for us to build upon, and I am humbled to follow in their footsteps.

Upon resumption of normalcy from COVID-19 pandemic, we had resumed our events and activities in face-to-face mode, including the Hong Kong Electronics Symposium in April 2023 with overwhelming response. The Division will keep up the momentum and organize high-value learning activities for our members with mission of promoting excellence in the field of electronics engineering.

We will continue to organize our signature and flagship events, such as the Hong Kong Electronics Symposium, the Hong Kong Electronics Project Competition, and our highly anticipated Annual Dinner, which provide valuable opportunities to our members for networking, knowledge sharing, and connecting with experts in the electronics industry. Besides, regular visits and seminars will be organized to foster professional development of our members with exposure on the latest advancements in the field.

Building upon the success of the Electronics STEM Bootcamp, we will further expand our efforts to inspire the next generation of engineers with organizations of more youth oriented.  We will be focusing particularly on activities with STEM elements, which aims to ignite their interest in electronics engineering and encourage them to join the engineering industries in the future.

All these initiatives and activities will only be successful with your unwavering support and active participation. I look forward to seeing you all in our coming events.
