Programme highlights

In recent years, many IoT devices and systems such as smart metering, Automobile Telematics (T-Box, e-call), Smart livestock management system and truck management system etc. were launched. The explosive growth of these IoT enable different devices to connect and create opportunities for more direct integration of the physical world into computer-based systems. However, battery management such as lifetime and operating condition are the typical challenges in designing IoT systems.

IoT systems can be applied and in different environment, form indoor to outdoor or even some extreme environment. It may require very wide temperature (for e.g. -40°C to +85°C) and long battery life (for e.g. 10 -20 years) in order to minimize the chance of battery replacement.

The speaker will share a proven technology i.e. super battery/capacitors and how this type of batter/ capacitors can solve the above IoT challenges and further raise the value of IOT systems with technical initiative.

Speakers

Ir Cedric Wong, Technical support Director Long Sing Technology Group (HK) Ltd.

Ir Cedric WONG has more than 25 years experience in design manufacturing and system commissioning of most intelligent system, such as smart LED lighting system, RF/Zigbee/BLE/LORA/NBIOT based IOT systems including automatic metering, automobile Telematics T-Box E-call, smart container/trailer/asset management system, smart car parking system etc. He graduated from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and he is a corporate member of HKIE and currently work with super battery / capacitor manufacturer which supporting worldwide market.
