Abstract
The popular use of Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS), with its more
commonly known name “Drone”, brings in enormous benefits on creativity and
efficiency in aerial filming and photography, engineering survey, logistic,
life-saving and even drives the development of personal aerial transport in
European and Middle East countries. It
also causes unprecedented challenges to statutory, insurance and security
organizations alongside with the perceived benefits. The successful deployment of commercial
wireless drones is an excellent example of integration of electronics and
communications technologies available at the time to create disruptive business
cases and socio-technological evolutions.
This seminar will provide audience an anatomy view of UAS and its
development, using examples of commercial and DIY wireless drones exist in the
past and to be available in the near future.
